Our firm has extensive experience representing clients in all aspects of employment law and disputes. We regularly represent clients with respect to claims of discrimination under federal and local laws including in the defense of claims of discrimination, harassment or retaliation based on age, sex, race, disability or other prohibited grounds. We have a particular expertise in issues arising under the laws prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disabilities, including the Americans with Disabilities Act. In addition, we often represent our clients in contract disputes as well as in wage and hour disputes arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act and similar state laws. Our lawyers are experienced in representing clients in disputes ranging from large class actions to cases involving single employees. We represent clients in courts throughout the country and our attorneys have broad experience in alternative dispute resolution procedures.

Our attorneys provide counsel and advice on the complex state and federal laws and regulations that govern the modern employment relationship and workplace. We provide advice and counsel to our clients at every stage of the employment relationship, ranging from advising on contracts and offers of employment to preparing employment policies and employee handbooks to counselling clients in handling the employment issues that regularly arise during the course of work. We provide counsel and training on critical issues in employment law, including the use of social media in hiring and employment, sexual harassment and discrimination, the application of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, wage and hour rules, and other topics of importance in the workplace.

Our clients in employment matters are diverse and hail from many different industries, including healthcare, parking, restaurants, media and technology, social service agencies, shipping and transportation, financial, construction, non-profits and design firms. In addition, we act as monitoring or coverage counsel on behalf of our insurance industry clients in a wide array of employment practice claims, both large and small, and often of a complex nature.
